I'm a Minnesota farm girl with my roots firmly planted in the soil on our 100 acre farm south of Cannon Falls. My husband Brad and I have been married for 40+ years and have lived our entire married life on the family farm. Brad is the fourth generation living on the farm.
For most of our married life, Brad has farmed. We had a dairy herd, hogs and chickens. As many of you know, farming is a great life but it also can take a toll on your body so we sold the cows and hogs a few years ago. Now Brad is a public servant working as a county commissioner. In 2005, we were very humbled and honored to be named Goodhue County Farm Family of the Year.
My journey of farm life is a little different from my husband's. I didn't grow up on a farm but my Grandparents did. They lived in Pierce County, Wisconsin, between Ellsworth and Bay City. I spent my summers on the farm with my Grandparents. They cultivated in me a love of gardening, chickens, farming, driving tractors, the smell of freshly mowed hay and the importance of family.
When my Grandmother moved into "town", she gave me her white picket fence that lined her chicken yard. Today, it lines my chicken yard. To most people it is probably just a pretty little fence but to me it is a connection to the farm of my childhood and my grandparents.
We raised two children on the farm, Ariana and Travis and we are blessed with 4 granddaughters. Thankfully they live close because we love spending time with all of them.
For 18 years I worked for a local, international giftware company. I held many positions through the years, all related to sales, marketing, and customer service. My last role was Director of Sales and Customer Service. It was a natural transition for me to move into real estate 18 years ago. It enabled me to put all of my experience into one career and tap into my entrepreneurial spirit. The best part of real estate is the people I have the opportunity to meet and work with every day.
If you are looking to find out what life is like in a small town, I would love to assist you in your search. I have completed additional educational training to become an Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR for short). This training is through the National Association of Realtors and the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council. I acquired this designation because I really care about making sure Buyers have representation in the real estate transaction and I want to make the major decision of buying a home enjoyable and stress free. You can count on me to go the extra mile for you.
If you are selling your home, you want to make sure you find a knowledgeable Realtor that understands the importance of marketing, personal service and how to compete in this changing real estate marketplace. I am a full-time agent, working full time to market and sell my clients' homes. I have acquired my GRI designation (Graduate of Realtor Institute) and PSA designation (Pricing Strategy Advisor). This program has enabled me to increase my depth of knowledge in real estate sales and marketing and real estate investments. For you, this means I have gone above and beyond the basic real estate education and I will go above and beyond to assist you throughout the sale of your home.
When I'm not busy with real estate or my grandkids, I love to garden (thanks to my Grandmother) and ride motorcycle with my husband and friends. Our family farm is no longer actively engaged in farming and we have recently been working on transitioning our barn into a family gathering and recreation space. Our farm is near and dear to many family members and we want to make sure everyone can stay connected to this beautiful 100 acre retreat. The upper level of the barn is now ready for basketball, ping pong and soon it will have a loft area which will overlook the gorgeous wooded landscape.
I look forward to assisting you with all your real estate needs!
